Current Projects

In both Ecuador and Ghana we are committed to participatory community development. In each country, fhn works closely with health committees comprised of local community members. These committed individuals participate in monthly training workshops, learning the skills required to independently operate their health center in the future.

In addition, fhn trains a group of men and women as Community Health Workers at both project sites. They attend monthly workshops on health-related topics such as first-aid, malaria testing, reproductive health, medicinal plants, and more. These health promoters serve as health center representatives in each of their communities by spreading health education messages throughout their region.
